Couture is where dreams come to life that's why we are so proud to have had the opportunity to work with designer Robert Wun.
For his inaugural runway show, Robert Wun closed out Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week with a moving collection that showcased the senz° umbrella in a very unique way. Robert included three key looks in his collection inspired by rain. He incorporated the iconic senz° umbrella design into the actual headpieces and also used haute couture craftsmanship to embellish one of the senz° storm umbrella.
The show, which came out in late January 2023, captured the subtleties of fear and horror with groundbreaking fantasy pieces that have won him and senz° lots of new fans.
Who is Robert Wun?
Robert Wun born in Hong Kong, launched his label in 2014. Focused on womenswear collection, also with a fresh take on shoes and accessoires, alongside his unique tailoring and inspirations drawn from science fiction and the world of nature. The London-based couturier is a new name on the Paris Haute Couture calendar and has the support of Chanel's fashion president Bruno Pavlosky.
The brand debuted their first runway show in Paris, January 2023. Having dressed artists like Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Solange, Erykah Badu, Billy Porter and Tessa Thompson. Robert Wun was also commissioned by the Royal Ballet, Hunger Games Movie Series and Netflix.
The Reflective Gown
The Reflective Gown, as it's named, reflects a flowy train and soft pleats which represent poise. The breathtaking strapless dress is made of a UV-foiled silk taffeta, the look is completed by the senz° Original shiny silver.
The Georgie Rain Coat
Inspired by the classic horror movie 'IT', Georgie's Yellow Raincoat. A sculpted A-line coat made in bonded satin, with a silk tulle train skirt. Styled with a statement headpiece, linked with face harness details, created with the Original senz° storm umbrella in daylily yellow.
The Rain
Robert Wun's masterpiece The Rain, a silk mix jacquard and embossed taffeta rain coat. Hand beaded with over 30.000 Swarovski Clear Crystals, illustrating rain falls and droplets, sparkling in a dark rainy night. Over 600 hours of hand work, including the senz° - XXL pure black - storm umbrella rain crystals embroidery.
